 OxTalk mobile application ("we", "OxTalk ", hereinafter referred to as "the App") is committed to protecting the privacy of its users (including streamers, buyers/customers, whether registered or not). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how the App uses the information you provide.

This Privacy Policy is published in accordance with Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011, and Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, which require publishing the Privacy Policy for the collection, use, storage, and transfer of sensitive personal data or information.


USER CONSENT

This Privacy Policy, which may be updated or amended from time to time, governs the information collected from users, including personal identification, contact details, and any other data provided. By accessing and using the App, you indicate that you understand and expressly consent to this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please discontinue using the App. Your continued use of the App confirms your unconditional consent to the collection, maintenance, use, processing, and disclosure of your personal and other information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The App is committed to protecting the privacy of all users, whether registered or visitors. The App does not sell or rent user information to any third party.

The App does not provide services or solutions for individuals with severe mental health conditions, including thoughts related to self-harm or suicide. Such users are strongly advised to refrain from using the App. If such information is disclosed, the App reserves the right to share it with law enforcement authorities, and such information will not be protected by confidentiality agreements.


ACCOUNT CREATION AND DATA HANDLING

When you create an account on OxTalk , we collect and use your information as follows:

1. Google Sign-In

Data Collected:

  • Name, email address, and profile picture (provided by Google).
  • Google account ID (to authenticate your account).

How It Works:

  • We use Google’s authentication service. We do not access or store your Google password.
  • Google’s Privacy Policy governs their data practices.


2. Email/OTP Login

Data Collected:

  • Email address (to create and secure your account).
  • One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your email for verification.

How It Works:

  • OTPs are valid for a limited time and generated via a secure third-party service.
  • We do not use your email for marketing unless you explicitly opt in.


Purpose of Collection:

  • To authenticate your identity and secure your account.
  • To restore your app data (guest accounts).
  • To communicate essential updates (e.g., security alerts).


Data Sharing

Third-Party Services:

  • Google Sign-In and OTP providers process data as per their policies.
  • We do not share your email, Device ID, or Google account details with unrelated parties.

Legal Requirements: 

  • We may disclose data if required by law (e.g., court orders, government requests).

Retention

  • Guest Accounts: Data is retained as long as the app is installed on your device. Data may persist if the Device ID remains the same (e.g., reinstalling without resetting the device).
  • Google/Email Accounts: Data is stored until you delete your account.

Security

  • Device IDs are encrypted and stored locally.
  • OTPs and email data are transmitted securely (SSL/TLS encryption).


INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THE APP


1. Personal Identifiable Information

Personal information collected may include:

  • Account Creation/Registration Data: Full name, email address, photograph and other sensitive data as defined under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
  • Booking Paid Services: All financial transactions on OxTalk are processed through secure third-party payment gateways. We do not store or collect sensitive financial information such as credit/debit card numbers, bank account details, or passwords. Payment data is handled directly by the third-party gateway in compliance with PCI-DSS and other applicable standards.
  • Photos and Videos: Content uploaded by users for features like streaming or profile personalization.
  • Log Files, IP Addresses, and Cookies: Information such as session data, device type, browser type, and user behavior through cookies to personalize user experiences.


2. Non-Personal Identifiable Information

Non-personal data may include:

  • URL of previously visited websites.
  • Internet Service Provider (ISP) details.
  • Browser type, geographical location, and demographic data.
  • Usage trends, frequency of visits, and average time spent on the App.
  • This information is used to improve the App’s content, troubleshoot issues, analyze trends, and comply with applicable laws.


USAGE OF INFORMATION

The collected information may be used for:

  • Account Management: To create and manage your account, provide customer support, and communicate about our services.
  • Personalized Experiences: To recommend profiles, personalize pricing or discounts, and improve the user interface.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY POLICY

The App is strictly for individuals above 18 years of age. If you are under 18, please do not use the App or its services. If it is discovered that a user under 18 has provided information, it will be promptly deleted. Parents or guardians are encouraged to report such instances to Help.imeet@gmail.com


CONFIDENTIALITY

OxTalk takes the confidentiality of your information seriously and does not disclose it to third parties unless:
